— Behind the Vision

Art that flows through me

My artworks combine whimsy and chaos, reflecting the messiness of my life experiences and childhood trauma.

I was searching for something I lacked in my childhood—and that something was love. As a believer in God, my faith was tested. I experienced some of the best and worst moments of my life in the U.S. I met many incredible people, but the most important person I met was myself.

I had been mentally blocked for five years, and the deep loneliness and pain I felt in the U.S. ultimately drew me closer to God and to my true self.

Our Inner Child

This artwork is a vibrant and expressive mixed-media painting that captures a child’s sense of imagination, innocence, and youthful wonder. In difficult times, my inner child — the purest part of who I am — is the part God protects, reminding me to continue living with hope in a world often filled with pain.

We are born into a world marked by sin, but through renewing our faith in God and committing ourselves to Him, we can break the chains of darkness.

God knew and saw us before we entered this world. Children are not born with hate in their hearts; rather, hate is something the world teaches over time.

“Surely, I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.” Psalms 51:5-6

Beauty in Black

Inspired by the Netflix series, this piece reflects the reality of growing up as a black woman. With that identity comes unique challenges — and yet, simply growing up as a woman carries its own weight.

This artwork is a reminder that even when life feels overwhelming, we are not alone, and we are not without worth.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. Isaiah 43:2

Dreams Come true

This painting represents the vastness of my dreams and my hope that one day my artworks will hang in renowned galleries around the world.

It reflects my journey as an artist and serves as a reminder that we should never stop dreaming, no matter how big or distant those dreams may seem. Every great achievement begins with the courage to believe in what is possible.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 4:37

— THE ARTIST

Painting from the inside out

Art and my imagination have always been my sanctuary. They offered me comfort and peace in a world often filled with rejection and misunderstanding.

Throughout my life, I struggled to find a place where I truly belonged. Eventually, I learned to become my own companion, drew closer to God, and discovered what I had been searching for all along — a sense of purpose and inner peace.

I hope my art inspires others to reject society’s expectations and embrace what makes them unique. God has gifted artists with the ability to see, feel, and express what others often cannot.
